12-Pounder Rifled Boat Howitzers in Bladensburg, Maryland
Two US Navy 12-Pounder (3.4-Inch) Rifled Boat Howitzers are displayed at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, Maryland. A nearby historical marker states that they are displayed in the earthworks of Fort Lincoln - an earthworks fortification built in 1861 as part of the network of defenses of Washington. The site is also near that of the War of 1812 Battle of Bladensburg. The two rifles are displayed on the remnant of Army type carriages rather than the naval landing carriages or boat carriages that they would have been mounted on in service.

12-Pounder Boat Howitzer, Heavy, Number 128 was manufactured at the Washington Navy Yard in 1862. As manufactured it weighed 750 pounds.
US Navy 12-Pounder Boat Howitzer Number 134 in New Haven, Connecticut
US Navy 12-Pounder Dahlgren Boat Howitzer (Heavy) Number 134 was carried aboard USS Lehigh. It is possible that Number 134 is the boat howitzer depicted in two photos taken aboard the monitor during the American Civil War.

US Army 3-Inch Ordnance Rifles 108 and 336 at Vicksburg
Two US Army 3-Inch Ordnance Rifles are displayed at Vicksburg National Military Park along with two 12-Pounder Howitzers near a sign describing the service of Yost’s Independent Ohio Battery. According to the sign, two 3-Inch Rifles and two 12-Pounders which had been captured at the Battle of Champion’s Hill were turned over to Company F, 32nd Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
