US Navy 20-Pounder Parrotts in Wooster, Ohio

Two US Navy 20-Pounder Parrott Rifles are displayed in Wooster, Ohio. Many thanks to friend of the page “Ric D” for sharing these photos!

The two Parrotts are:

• US Navy 20-Pounder Parrott Number 269 which was manufactured at the West Point Foundry in 1864. Weight as manufactured was 1720 pounds.

• US Navy 20-Pounder Parrott Number 271 which was manufactured at the West Point Foundry in 1864. Weight as manufactured was 1736 pounds.

Records show that both of these 20-Pounders served aboard USS Pensacola.
