US Army 8-Inch Rodmans in Linesville, Pennsylvania
Two US Army 8-Inch Rodmans are displayed in Linesville, Pennsylvania flanking a monument. Many thanks to friend of the page James Murray for the photos! The two Rodmans are early production models with the ratchets at the breech. These were designed to use the ratchet and pawl system of earlier Columbiads.
US Army 10-Inch Rodmans in Sullivan, Ohio
Two US Army 10-Inch Rodmans, Pattern 1861 are displayed in Sullivan, Ohio. Both were cast at Fort Pitt Foundry in 1865. They were placed as a monument to the "Dead Heroes of Sullivan Township” in 1906.
The US Army 42-Pounders of USS Cairo
The US Army 42-Pounders are displayed aboard USS Cairo in Vicksburg, Mississippi. One is a Pattern 1831 and two are Pattern 1845. All three were rifled for service during the American Civil War.
