Two US Army 10-Inch Rodmans, Pattern 1861, are displayed in Sullivan, Ohio

Two US Army 10-Inch Rodmans, Pattern 1861 are displayed in Sullivan, Ohio. The two guns are:

  • 10-Inch Rodman Number 424 cast by Fort Pitt Foundry in 1865. Weight as manufactured: 14,944 pounds.

  • 10-Inch Rodman Number 427 cast by Fort Pitt Foundry in 1865. Weight as manufactured: 14,940 pounds.

The monument between the two Rodmans states that they were placed in 1906 “In Memory of Our Dead Heroes of Sullivan Township.”
