A US Navy 6-Inch / 30-Caliber Gun, Mark 3, is displayed in Alpena, Michigan. It was mounted on USS Maine. Maine, of course, suffered a major explosion in Havana Harbor in 1898 - an event that was a catalyst for the Spanish American War. It is mounted upon its original central pivot Vavasseur mounting.

US Navy 9-Inch Dahlgren Number 249 is displayed in Petosky, Michigan. US Navy Bureau of Ordnance records show that Number 249 served aboard USS Hartford from her commissioning in 1859 through the 1880s. Number 249 was cast at Cyrus Alger & Co. in 1859 and weighed 9,085 pounds. It is displayed on an original, post-war iron carriage.

US Navy 9-Inch Dahlgren Number 250 of USS Hartford is displayed in Gaylord, Michigan beside the Ostego County Courthouse. It served aboard USS Hartford from the ship’s commissioning in 1859 through the 1880s. It was cast by Cyrus Alger & Company in 1858. As manufactured it weighed 9,035 pounds. It is displayed on an original, post-war US Navy iron carriage. It is one of three 9-Inch Dahlgrens from USS Hartford displayed in northern Michigan, and one of eight associated with the ship to survive.
US Navy 11-Inch Dahlgren Number 420 of USS Marion in St. Joseph, Michigan
US Navy 11-Inch Dahlgren Number 420 is displayed overlooking Lake Michigan at Lake Bluff Park in St. Joseph, Michigan. It was manufactured by Hinkley, Williams, and Company (formerly the Boston Locomotive Works) in 1864. As manufactured it weighed 15,890 pounds. Bureau of Ordnance records show that it was in storage until 1875 when it was mounted on the steam sloop USS Marion then building at Portsmouth Navy Yard (Kittery, Maine).
US Navy 100-Pounder Parrott Rifle of USS Lodona in Buchanan, Michigan
A US Navy 100-Pounder Parrott Rifle, Registry Number 48, is displayed in a cemetery in Buchanan, Michigan. As manufactured at West Point Foundry in 1862 it weighed 9,727 pounds. US Navy records indicate that it served upon USS Lodona. Lodona was an iron hulled, bark rigged, screw steamer built in 1862 in England. She was captured in Ossabaw Sound attempting to run the blockade into Savannah on August 4th, 1862 by USS Unadilla.
US Navy 32-Pounder of 4,500 Pounds in Farwell, Michigan
US Navy 32-Pounder of 4,500 Pounds Number 226 is displayed in Farwell, Michigan. It was manufactured at Seyfert, McManus, and Company in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1865. As manufactured it weighed 4,508 pounds and was inspected by Walter W. Queen. It is mounted on what may be an original mounting for a saluting battery. US Navy 100-Pounder Parrott Number 15 at Traverse City, Michigan was one of two of the type carried aboard the sailing frigate USS Sabine during the Civil War. The two Parrotts were mounted as pivots - one on either end of the spar deck.
