Two US Navy 12-Pounder Rifled Dahlgren Boat Howitzers are displayed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard
Two US Navy 12-Pounder (3.4-Inch) Rifled Dahlgren Boat Howitzers are displayed near the 4th Street Entrance at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
12-Pounder Rifled Boat Howitzer Number 314 cast at Washington Navy Yard in 1863. As manufactured it weighed 875 pounds. It is marked as having 50 pounds preponderance.
12-Pounder Rifled Boat Howitzer Number 403 cast at Washington Navy Yard in 1865. As manufactured it weighed 888 pounds. This is the only surviving 12-Pounder Rifle with 3-groove rifling.

12-Pounder Boat Howitzer Number 403 is the only surviving example of the type with 3-groove rifling.
